Along with 'un verre du vin rouge, s'il vous plait', I learned this one, which is loosely translated as 'The more things change the more they remain the same'. Short skirts - long skirts - short skirts - a never-ending pattern.
There are a number of changes in Nice - they ripped up one large avenue to put in a street car, there are VeloBleu bicycles for rent at a minimal price all over the city, and the place Michael lived is now a hotel. However, there are still lots of boulangeries to tempt the tastebuds, the water is still a beautiful blue color, and the place I lived still looks like a dive.
