Places You Have Lived

It's funny how places you have lived are treated so much differently than places you have visited. If we were visiting Nice for the first time we would have a list of museums to visit and amusements to partake of, and be armed with maps and timetables. Since we lived in Nice, we have never visited the numerous museums, I can not identify the famous churches, and outside of a very basic history of 'it used to be Italian, then it was French' I know almost nothing of it's history.

What I do know is that a meander along the Promenade des Anglais on a sunny day is one of the best experiences known to man, that you can never get lost in the warren of streets in the Old City, and that sitting on the edge of a fountain eating a Pan Bagnant watching the world go by and being warmed by the sun is sublime. What I do know is 'you should be here'... what he said...

Oh, and if you are upset that we have sun and you are waiting for yet more snow - take heart, there is snow in Nice as well....
